Eyeballs rolled backwards
Into the dark dampness
Of cavernous grooved skull.

Inside-out eyes, veiny and bloody
Staring lightheartedly
At world it can no longer see.

Dream’s levee caved in
Debris past, present and future
Crashing onto shore

Don’t mention names
Just listen
To the tap, tap, tap of me,
Trickling away
Into a glass
Not half empty because broken
Like earthenware
Pots, and pans, and paradise
