The race to find a replacement for books is still on. E-readers are definitely not close to winning. Why? Because they’re trying way too hard to read like books even though they are not books and never will be.  Maybe that’s why Sony might be on to something with the Wonderbook. Reviewers have said good things. It works like a game. Paired with Sony Play Station game console and a TV, it literally lets the reader into the world of the book. The debut “book” is the Book of Spells, a J. K. Rowling creation. It has the look of a medieval children’s book: leather binding and thick pages. But it is…ummm…not a quite a book. The pages glow. Digitized objects pop into the air and come at you like you’re in a 3D theatre. Anyway, watch the video and decide whether the Wonderbook is a book, a toy, or a game.
