Somalian novelist Nuruddin Farah narrates an anecdote about paying a 7-day visit to Achebe during which they literally talked every waking hour. This is, for me, the most moving and heartfelt account that any African writer has given of Achebe till date. I wish we could have more videos and written reflections like this one. They do wonders not just for our sense of Achebe, his life and work but also for the institution and community of African letters in general.
