Just a week after discovering that Kobe Bryant loves Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone, we have just found that Hollywood director Jordan Peele, known for the Oscar-nominated Get Out, is also a big fan of African writing.
In a photo shared on Facebook by Transition‘s former managing editor Sarah Bruya, Jordan Peele is seen holding a copy of Transition and Jalada’s collaboration issue, Fear, standing beside John Jennings, who designed the book cover.
Dubbed Jalada 05/Transition 123, Fear is Transition’s 123rd issue but Jalada’s 5th. The issue “represents this spirit [of fear] through an offering of stories, essays and poems that tackle the various shapes that fear and fearlessness take in our shared humanity.”

Here’s to more celebrities loving African literature.
