Jalada Africa will be launching its newest anthology, Jalada 07: After+Life, on Friday, 31 May, at Mc Millan Memorial Library, Nairobi. Jalada 07: After+Life is “a series of reflections that bear fresh and insightful literary takes on the question of life after death,” and features “poetic dirges, new myths and short stories by writers based in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa and USA, among others.”
The event will feature readings, film screening, and panel conversations with writers in a live podcast by 2 Girls and A Pod.

In an email to Brittle Paper, Jalada member Richard Ali stated that the event also will see a partnership with The Book Bunk for a memorial session for the late Binyavanga Wainaina.
