The Uganda Women Writers’ Association known as FEMRITE is hosting a panel discussion in celebration of the two Ugandan writers, Doreen Baingana and Iryn Tushabe, shortlisted for their stories “Lucky” and “A Separation,” respectively. Read the stories here and here.

Baingana and Tushabe, in conversation with novelist Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi, will talk about their shortlisted stories and Uganda women’s writing more broadly. Our Chief Editor Dr. Ainehi Edoro-Glines will moderate the discussion. Register in advance for the event here.
