We are excited to share with you our new monthly series titled Brittle Paper Spotlight, which will feature emerging writers whose work has been published on the Brittle Paper site!

During each feature, we will introduce you to the selected writer by telling you a bit about them, publishing an interview where they answer questions about their inspirations, favorite writers, etc., and sharing their work across our social media platforms on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Brittle Paper is one of the leading platforms making space for emerging African writers. Every month, we receive over 200 submissions and publish those we accept. Many of these writers are at the start of their writing career, but they are producing engaging writing across key genres in poetry, fiction, and essays. They may not be household names, but they are well on their way to becoming one! Brittle Paper Spotlight is our way of supporting them by bringing visibility to their work. We hope the series will expand the reach and networks of these writers who are publishing brilliant and innovative work!
