Abubakar Adam Ibrahim adorns the cover of the latest edition of Masobe Quarterly, published by Nigerian publishing house Masobe Books.

The magazine is released on a quarterly basis and available for free everytime you buy a book published by Masobe. The magazine serves as a guide for readers of Masobe Books and includes features, interviews, reviews, previews and lots more.

This quarter’s issue features the talented Nigerian writer and journalist Abubakar Adam Ibrahim as its cover star. Ibrahim won the prestigious Nigerian Prize for Literature, Africa’s largest literary prize carrying a $100,000 award, with his debut novel Season of Crimson Blossoms (2015).

In 2014, he was on the Africa39 list of writers aged under 40 with potential and talent to define future trends in African literature. Ibrahim also won the BBC African Performance Prize, the ANA Plateau/Amatu Braide Prize for Prose, and the Michael Elliot Award for Excellence in African Storytelling.

Also included in the quarterly are an interview by Chika Unigwe, Emmanuel Iduma’s notes on his writing process, a feature of Rovingheights bookstore located in Lagos and Abuja, a look at 2023 hottest titles so far, an excerpt from Odafe Atogun’s The Cabal, and more.
