British-Nigerian actress Cynthia Erivo is set to voice the audiobook edition of Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Anguish and Anarchy, the final book in her Legacy of Orisha trilogy.
Set in the land of Orisha ruled by a tyrannical king, this legendary YA West African fantasy tells the story of the young Zélie Adebola as she attempts to restore magic to the kingdom and resist the monarchy. In the final book, Zélie will find new allies and face her final enemy, the terrifying King Baldur. It is set to be published on June 25 through Henry Holt Books for Young Readers.
Adeyemi remarked to People Magazine that she is thrilled to have Erivo bring the final book to life:
Cynthia is a once-in-a-generation type of talent. Maybe even once in an eon. Everything her beautiful spirit and voice embraces touches my heart. I am absolutely honored that she will be bringing the final installment of this trilogy to life with her incredible talent, and I personally cannot wait to devour her narration!
