Fans of British-Nigerian author Bolu Babalola, we have some updates! Babalola shared a glimpse into her upcoming book Sun Under Skin, the sequel to Honey & Spice, and we sense something cooking!
Babalola has captured the hearts of readers with her previous romance fiction, Love in Colour (2020) and Honey & Spice (2022). We already know that the sequel to Honey & Spice is set to publish sometime this year, but things definitely seem to be progressing.
Babalola shared the cover of her first draft for Sun Under Skin as a teaser look into the novel. The cover contains three opening quotes, hinting at the scintillating romance within:
“Warm as the sun dipped in black” – Lauryn Hill
“rain has drops/ sun has shine/ moon has beams/ that make you mine” – nikki giovanni
“mixed with day and sun/i crouched in the earth carry/you like a dark river” – sonia sanchez
Can’t wait to read what’s next! We wish Bolu the best on her writing journey.
