L-R Olubunmi Aboderin Talabi, Michael Afenfia, Enobong Etuk, Obari Gomba, and Miracle Emeka-Nkwor

The first edition of the Boldoz Book and Arts Festival was held at the Ibibio Union Museum in Uyo, Akwa Ibom on June 21st and 22nd.

The festival was put on by Boldoz Bookstore, based in Uyo, Nigeria. It was a huge success! The theme was “Mbuk Nnyin” — Our Story, featuring stories of art, food, film, performance, culture, and more. The festival curator and organizer, Mrs. Enobong Etuk, aimed to put this festival on the map by promoting inclusion and diversity through cultural storytelling, and her vision was brilliantly realized at this event. Notable guests included Olubunmi Aboderin Talabi, Michael Afenfia, Miracle Emeka-Nkwor, and more.

The 2024 Boldoz Book and Arts Festival was the first festival hosted by Boldoz, but certainly not the last!
