Nigerian publishing house Purple Shelves has announced a call for submissions!

Submissions are open from now until August 20, 2024. If you have an unpublished novel manuscript, consider sending it to Purple Shelves to get your writing out into the world!

Purple Shelves has been in the publishing world since 2012. In addition to being one of Nigeria’s leading editorial and publishing services provider, Purple Shelves facilitates book clubs for schools across and beyond Lagos, creates reading resources for younger readers, and facilitates the distribution of books.

Purple Shelves writes,

We are excited to announce a call for submissions of truly authentic African and Nigerian unpublished novel manuscripts. We are looking for compelling stories that capture the essence of African experiences and perspectives.

Details: Manuscripts must be original novels written in English, between 80,000 and 120,000 words. Submit manuscripts to [email protected]. Selected authors will be contacted in October 2024.
