Nigerian writer and filmmaker Marve Michael Anson recently announced on her Instagram that she is now being represented by Ciara Finan and Flo Sandelson at Curtis Brown Books in the U.K. and United Talent Agency (UTA) Publishing in the U.S.!

Marve Michael Anson is an upcoming Nigerian writer who published her first novel, His Dark Reflection, in 2023. Her novel was met with high praise and was longlisted for the 2023 REVPIT competition, shortlisted Future Worlds Prize 2023, the 2022 Jericho Writers Friday Night Live Competition and the 2022 Kit De Waal Bursary, and won the 2023 Jericho Writers’ Self Edit Course Bursary! Marve’s second novel, Firstborn of the Sun is a fantasy novel surrounding mystery, magic, and taboo histories, is set to be published by Penguin Michael Joseph in October 2025, and is available for preorder here.
