The Being Black in Publishing forum, hosted by Cassava Republic Press, is making its return in 2024.  Entering its second year, the forum promotes inclusion in the African and diaspora publishing spaces. Sign up here.

Industry experts like Charlotte Abrams-Simpson (Orion Fiction), Nkanyezi Tshabalala (Pan Macmillan South Africa), Nancy Adimora (Afreada), Bunmi Ishola (Penguin Random House), and Zakia Henderson (The New Press), and others will be featured in various panels across four days covering the topics listed below:

The internship program is also returning but expanded and will be targeted at young professionals in East and Southern Africa. The goal is to provide career-building opportunities for Black publishing professionals across Africa.
