Egyptian-American author and activist Mona Eltahawy will see the publication of her second book The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls by the independent Irish publishers Tramp Press.

The feminist-owned press, which is based in Dublin, was founded in 2014 by Lisa Coen and Sarah Davis-Goff.

The Bookseller reports that Sarah Davis-Goff acquired Irish and UK rights from Jessica Papin at Abner Stein.

Regarding the acquisition, Eltahawy said: “I am thrilled to be published by Tramp Press. A feminist press is the perfect home for my writing. Our work as feminists is to dismantle patriarchy and all the oppressions it uses against women—cisgender and transgender.”

Lisa Coen, co-founder of Tramp Press noted that the book “is timely, incisive and challenging work.”

The US edition of The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls was published in 2019 by Beacon Press and was featured on Brittle Paper’s Notable Books of 2019.

The new edition will be published in spring 2021 and will be supported by an events tour.

Brittle Paper congratulates Mona Eltahawy!
