A new BBC Documentary exploring the life and work of Booker Prize-winning Anglo-Nigerian author Bernardine Evaristo is set to air.
Titled “Bernardine Evaristo: Never Give Up,” the 69-minute documentary led by British TV executive Alan Yentob explores Evaristo’s “unique approach to creativity across the decades.” The documentary is a nice lead up to her latest book, a memoir titled Manifesto: On Never Giving Up, which is due out in the UK in October and in the US in January.
Bernardine’s life is a fascinating story of resilience, brilliance, and sheer hard work. She often refers to herself as “the girl from Woolwich,” as a homage to her humble beginnings. The inspiring story of her journey from Woolwich to the elite world of UK literary scene will be explored in the documentary.
Don’t miss it. If you are in the UK region, you can see it this Thursday, on 2 September at 22:35.
