Nalubaale Review Literary Magazine has announced the themes for its 2024 Edition: Departure and Survival. Writers are invited to submit their work exploring these compelling topics that resonate with the complexities of the human experience. Submissions are open until February 28, 2025.
This year’s themes aim to inspire a wide range of storytelling and creative expression. Departure offers a rich terrain for reflecting on transitions, farewells, and the emotional landscapes of leaving, while Survival invites stories of resilience, hope, and perseverance.
Submission guidelines:
- Writers may submit a maximum of three poems, each no longer than two pages.
- Short stories should range between 1,000 and 5,000 words.
- Essays should range between 2,000 and 4,000 words.
- A maximum of two short stories per writer is allowed.
- Submissions must align with the themes Departure and Survival.
- Submissions should be in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
Nalubaale Review encourages submissions from both new and established African writers, providing a platform for diverse voices and perspectives.
