Nigerian-American writer and artist Victor Ehikhamenor has partnered with the international whisky brand Johnnie Walker and recyclable ink company Air-Ink to produce sustainably created yet artistic bottles. Named Keep Walking Lagos, these bottles are limited edition, so grab them before stocks run out.

The bottles feature beautiful illustrations using ink that is literally made from air pollutants. Air-Ink was founded in 2013 as an experiment at the MIT Media Lab and has now led to a public art movement across global cities. The project sequesters and recycles particulate pollutants such as PM 2.5 and PM 10 emissions and then converts this air pollution waste into useable pigments and ink to create art.

This project is another major step in Johnnie Walker’s sustainability drive and also part of the “Keep Walking City Collection”, a series of six limited edition artist-designed bottles of Johnnie Walker Black Label. Each bottle displays the “Keep Walking” spirit of cities such as Tokyo, Seoul, and New Mexico, and is created using Air-Ink.

The Lagos bottle designed by Victor Ehikhamenor is inspired by the “vibrancy” of the city and the “unbreakable spirit of its inhabitants.” It embodies the energy of Lagos dwellers who always like to keep moving in this bustling city. This limited edition Johnnie Walker Black Label includes notes of sweet vanilla and warming smoky finish.
