Tomi Adeyemi is a Nigerian-American writer, best known for her award-winning novel Children of Blood and Bone, the first in the Legacy of Orïsha trilogy. Set in the land of Orisha ruled by a tyrannical king, the YA West African fantasy tells the story of the young Zélie Adebola as she attempts to restore magic to the kingdom and resist the monarchy. In the final book, Zélie will find new allies and face her final enemy, the terrifying King Baldur.
