Nigerian author and editor Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki has landed high-profile literary and media representation. He is officially represented by Mark Gottlieb, Vice President at Trident Media Group for literary work, and by Vince Gerardis of Startling, Inc. for film, TV, and media. Ekpeki now shares representation with some of the biggest names in science fiction and fantasy literature.

Ekpeki shared the news on Instagram, celebrating this major milestone in his career:

Also reps GRR Martin, Larry Niven, Joe Haldeman, Robert Silverberg, Robert J Sawyer, the Heinlein, Sturgeon estates, etc. And my literary agent is @trident_media’s Vice president, @markgottliebliteraryagent TMG has also repped Kevin J. Anderson, Brian Herbert, Isaac Asimov, Marlon James, Tom Clancy, etc.

In the publishing business, this is a really big deal. Trident Media Group is a powerhouse literary agency that famously discovered Tom Clancy and has represented legendary authors including Isaac Asimov, Kevin J. Anderson, Brian Herbert, and Booker Prize winner Marlon James. Mark Gottlieb, as Vice President, brings decades of expertise to Ekpeki’s career.

On the media side, Vince Gerardis is a titan in the entertainment industry. As Executive Producer of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, he helped create two of the most successful television series in history. His client roster reads like a who’s who of science fiction and fantasy: George R.R. Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki is a Nigerian speculative fiction writer and editor who has made waves in the international SFF community. His work has appeared in major publications and anthologies, and he is the editor of the groundbreaking Year’s Best African Speculative Fiction anthology series.
