adichie13What were you up to last week? Well, Chimamanda was in Paris.

As part of the promotional events around the official release of Americanah in France, she met up with Nicholas Germain for an interview that aired on France 24.

After giving her usual spiel about how she became black in America, she opens up a bit about the upcoming Nigerian election.

“I am not inspired by either candidate,” she says, “I wish we had more choices. I wish we had a real inspirational candidate, but we don’t. So for me, it’s irrelevant who wins. I just want Nigeria to get back to a place where we go back to a certain kind of stability.”
