Hey Brittle Paper Readers and Followers!

Brittle Paper is 10 this month. That’s right — we’ve been bringing you the latest and the juiciest in the African literary scene for a whole ten years!

To mark our anniversary, we are launching The Decade Project. From September 7 to October 2, we will celebrate the last 10 years of African literature by bringing you mouth-watering essays, interviews, fiction, and more from your favorite African authors.

In order to recharge and prepare for the Decade Project, we are taking a two-week break. But trust us, we’ll be back with something really special!

In the meantime, take the opportunity to catch up on all the African literary news and creative work that are on our site? Have a peek through our archives — you might be delighted at what you find there.

From August 24, 2020 to September 6 2020, we won’t be bringing you anything new. We will also not be considering any new submissions for fiction, non-fiction, or poetry during this time. Don’t worry, we’ll be up and running as usual on September 7, 2020.

See you in two weeks!
