Masobe Books is currently open for submissions of unpublished manuscripts (novels or short story collections).

Founded in 2018, the Nigerian press already boasts an impressive client list that includes Adaobi Tricia Nwaubani, Chimeka Garricks, Michael Afenfia, and TJ Benson.  Last year, they added Abubakar Ibrahim and Ukamaka Olisakwe to their list of authors.

Masobe Books will be considering new manuscripts for publication until March 31. The work will be accessed by their team of editors who will respond to submitted manuscripts within 8 weeks. They are not accepting unsolicited poetry manuscripts.

Here is the press release:

Are you a storyteller or do you know someone you think tells the most magical and fantastic stories? Do you have what it takes to wow readers and make them keep asking for more? If this is you, then we want you here at Masobe Books to join our ever growing family of writers.

At Masobe HQ, we are always on the lookout for new talent, writers with fresh and original voices/perspectives who tell stories that hum with emotional truth, stories that explore the human condition as well as record the many flavours of the exotic tapestry of our history.

We are currently accepting fiction (novel and short story) manuscripts. To send in your work please visit the submissions page by clicking here and follow the submission guidelines carefully. All submissions must be made online via the manuscript submissions form.
