Reading the Migration Library, a project of Canada-based Light Factory Publications (LFP), and the Ghanaian Library of Africa and The African Diaspora (LOATAD) have announced an open call for submissions from writers of Ghanaian descent to participate in a new series of publications that wholly interrogates the concept of the diaspora and migration, provoking questions as well as offering answers.

Writers are invited to submit works of poetry, essays, fiction, graphic texts, or narrative nonfiction, all in response to the theme and with the topic “Ghanaian Writing On Migration and Diaspora”. Selected works would be compiled in a chapbook series collated by Reading the Migration Library.

Three selected manuscripts will be published and authors will receive a fee of $500CAD. Authors will also receive 25 hard copies of their chapbook from a print edition of 100.

Deadline: April 30.
