Egyptian feminist author Mona Eltahawy turned 54 on August 1! She celebrated her birthday over 5 days, during which she made lots of fun posts on Instagram. One of the posts is a super-cool video of Eltahawy lip syncing to “Let Them Know” by Mabel.

But what really caught our eyes was a carousel post of photographs showing 36 outfits she had won over the past year. If you’ve read Eltahawy’s books or follow her on Instagram you know she is a fierce advocate for the celebration of beauty and the body as a form of feminist expression. She is fabulous in these looks. Wishing her a happy belated birthday!
