Nigerian media personality Stephanie Coker Aderinokun announces a children’s book. Titled Ariella and the Talking Drum, the was written in honor of Aderinokun’s daughter who bears the same name. [Pictured above]

The book tells the story of a girl named Ariella and her talking drum named Tito and inspires children to appreciate what they have.

Aderinokun shared the news on Instagram with a sweet birthday note to her daughter, who inspired the story and shares the name of the star characters: “You are unbelievably precious to me and you have brought so much joy to our family. I am celebrating you today by launching a book inspired by you my darling girl, titled Ariella and the Talking Drum.”

 

She also notes that the book speaks to her life as a mother who appreciates culture. “As a custodian of Nigerian culture and a mother,” she remarks, “I’m inspired to give expression to passions that honour both roles.”
