Winner of the poetry category, Shade Mary-Ann Olaoye, receives her plaque and cheque.

Two writers published by us, Shade Mary-Ann Olaoye and Jonathan Durunguma, have won the poetry and prose categories of the inaugural Okike Prize for Literature.

Founded this year, the Okike Prize for Literature honours fiction, poetry and plays by Nigerian undergraduates. The winner of each category receives N50,000.

We’ve published poetry by Shade Mary-Ann Olaoye, as well as fiction by both her and Jonathan Durunguma.

Jonathan Durunguma’s representative receives his award on his behalf.

Congratulations to Shade and Jonathan.
