Lagos-based publishing press Ouida Books is accepting submissions for its new imprint LWM.

LMW is the third addition to the press’s line up of imprints, which includes the children’s book imprint Tanja and the non-fiction imprint Cognix.

LMW is “devoted to publishing accessible books about technology in Africa.”

The imprint’s first offering is a series titled “So You Wan’ Learn.” The series is an expository on the day-to-day technologies developed and employed by Africans.

Submissions should be written in accessible English with helpful illustrations and should be between 25,000 and 40,000 words.

Interested authors are required to write to [email protected] with the following:

  • A CV including two references.
  • A 200-word proposal, including justification, on the aspect of the technology you seek to write about.
  • A proposed table of contents and the first 500 words.
  • Proposed timelines.
