The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) has announced that it will be unveiling the winners of the 2022 Nigeria Prizes at a grand award night on October 14 at 5 PM.

The award night is titled “Touching the Stars” and will be held at the Eko Convention Centre at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria. The event hosts include NLNG managing director and CEO,Philip Mshelbila, and NLNG deputy managing director Olalekan Ogunleye.

For the 2022 award night, the keynote speaker will be the prominent Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR), who served as Nigeria’s head of state from 1976 to 1979 and later as the president from 1999 to 2007.

NLNG sponsors three prestigious prizes in Africa for science, literature, and literary criticism. The Nigeria Prize for Science and The Nigeria Prize for Literature are each worth USD100,000 in award money, while The Nigeria Prize for Literary Criticism is worth N1 million in cash reward.

The three contenders for the 2022 Nigeria Prize for Literature are young but talented writers. The shortlisted writers and books are Memory and the Call of Water by Su’eddie Vershima Agema, Nomad by Romeo Oriogun, and Your Crib, My Qibla by Saddiq Dzukogi.
