Shuter & Shooter Publishers has announced a call for submissions of manuscripts from African language authors. The submission period is open until October 31st, 2024. They are accepting unpublished manuscripts across the categories of Drama, Folklore, Novels, Short Stories and Poetry. They are currently accepting submissions in IsiXhosa, IsiZulu, Ndebele, Siswati, Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, Xitsonga, and Tshivenda.

Submission guidelines:

Please send unpublished manuscripts (drama, folklore, novels, short stories and poetry) to: [email protected]

Manuscripts must indicate target readership (e.g. 13-15 years) in addition to the title, a brief description (200-250 words), name of author and/or compiler, and contact information (email and phone number)

Manuscripts must be written in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.15 line spacing

Submissions close on October 31, 2024.
