
Poda-Poda Stories has opened submissions for its upcoming Mundanity issue, set for publication in December 2025. Writers and artists are invited to creatively explore the theme of “mundanity” across poetry, fiction, nonfiction, photography, and digital art.
The prize-winning issue is open to writers and artists residing on the African continent, members of the African diaspora, individuals with African citizenship, as well as those living in or descended from the Caribbean. Submissions are free and close on September 25, 2025.
Accepted genres include:

Poetry (up to 3 poems)

Fiction (1,000–2,500 words)

Non-fiction (essays or life-writing, 900–2,500 words)

Photography/Digital Art (up to 3 images)

Poda-Poda Stories is a Sierra Leonean literary platform founded in 2020 by writer and journalist Ngozi Cole. It publishes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and criticism, while promoting the work of both emerging and established Sierra Leonean writers.
