Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo is set to deliver the annual New Statesman/ Goldsmith Prize lecture ahead of the 2020 Goldsmith Prize shortlist announcement. The annual lecture series customarily invites a leading author to “offer personal manifestos on why the novel matters.”

The event is expected to last an hour and half, with the shortlist for the 2020 Goldsmith Prize revealed at the end of the evening. The event will be held online. It is free to watch, but you do have to register. See link below.
