Congratulations to Nigerian author Chibundo Onuzo who got married last week at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) Church in London!

Onuzo looked absolutely gorgeous on her wedding day, wearing a floor-length white tulle gown and holding ivory and peach-colored roses in her wedding bouquet. Her husband, Sarge Odion, looked dashing in a deep blue tuxedo. The couple appear to be deeply in love as they held each other in their arms in the wedding photos posted on Instagram.

Onuzo was born in Nigeria and moved to England at the age of 14. She is highly educated and has numerous degrees including a Bachelor’s degree in history from King’s College London, a Master’s degree in public policy from University College London, as well as a PhD from King’s College London. She is a renowned novelist and has published The Spider King’s Daughter (2012), Welcome to Lagos (2016), and Sankofa (2021). Her first novel, The Spider King’s Daughter won the Betty Trask Award in 2013. Onuzo was also elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in its “40 Under 40” initiative in 2018.

Although the wedding ceremony was intimate, the ready smiles on the faces of the couple and their wedding guests show that it was a blissful occasion and filled with love and happiness. We wish the couple lots of joy in their marital life!
