The 2022 Akada Children’s Book Festival was held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the UpBeat Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.

The first and the largest Nigerian book festival specifically for children, Akada showcases children’s books written by African authors or books from around the world written for a diverse audience of children. The 2022 edition was the festival’s return to in-person gathering since its launch, and was aptly themed “Together Again.” Check out our highlights post for all the details!

The line-up of participants and attendees included the actress and Comedienne Chigurl, as well as the writer and publisher Eghosa Imasuen.

The children were also invited to submit essays and illustration entries for a competition themed “Together Again.” The winners are:
