Nigerian author Akwaeke Emezi was spotted hanging out with Arséma Thomas, the actress who plays young Lady Agatha Danbury in Netflix’s blockbuster period drama Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023).
Emezi had previously held a book signing at London’s Daily Paper’s flagship store. They then met up with Thomas to see the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical A Strange Loop at the Barbican Theatre. The show follows Usher, a Black queer man writing a musical about a Black queer man writing a musical.
Emezi captioned the post: “perfect last night in london—seeing the utterly magnificent @strangeloopldn with this angel @arsemathomas”.
