Nigerian-American author Nnedi Okorafor was gifted a delightful tribute to her literary career at the Heartland Book Festival: miniature versions of nearly every book she has written.
The miniature library was presented to Okorafor by Jenny, a huge fan, in her book-signing line at the festival. The tiny collection features nearly her entire body of work, spanning her acclaimed novels and stories that have captivated readers worldwide.
Okorafor shared her excitement through a post on X: “A woman in my book-signing line at the Heartland Book Festival gave me these miniature versions of my books. So delightful! I’m going to keep this tiny library on my desk. Nearly every book I’ve written.”

The author, known for works including Who Fears Death, Binti, Akata Witch, and Lagoon, plans to keep the tiny library on her desk as a testament to her remarkable career in speculative fiction.
The thoughtful gift demonstrates the lengths to which devoted readers will go to honor the writers whose work has touched their lives. Publishing House, Hunch Press, captured the sentiment perfectly: “This is next-level fan dedication! Those miniature books are absolutely exquisite. What a perfect tribute to your amazing body of work.”

We’re delighted that Nnedi is getting her flowers—or in this case, miniature versions of her books—while she can still appreciate them. After all, what’s better than a tiny library you can actually enjoy on your desk?
