On July 16, 2026, Paramount Pictures released the first official images from Children of Blood and Bone. The photos spotlight the film’s sweeping world of Orïsha and provide an early glimpse of the story’s central heroes and powerful royal figures, with elaborate costumes and production design that has garnered conversations among readers following the book’s adaptation. Reviewers who attended the CinemaCon presentation earlier this year noted comparisons to Black Panther in scale and ambition, sweeping landscapes, visually stunning special effects, and fight choreography that looks built for the big screen.

Leading the images is Thuso Mbedu as Zélie, alongside Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, Tosin Cole, Viola Davis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Regina King, Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Idris Elba, and Richard Mofe-Damijo.
