Earlier this month we announced the online voting for Goodreads’ 2017 awards. The first round saw nominations for four authors having massively successful years—Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions in the Nonfiction Category, Nnedi Okorafor’s Home in the Science Fiction Category, Lesley Nneka Arimah’s What It Means When a Man Falls from the Sky in the Fiction Category, and Ayobami Adebayo’s Stay with Me in the Debut Goodreads Author Category.

The first two rounds have gone and, after 2,983,877 votes cast, Dear Ijeawele and Home are still in the running. The final round of voting will last from 14-27 November. The winners will be announced on 5 December.
